You need to broaden your tastes. Sometimes you need to look beyond the first song you hear of them. You obviously haven't heard their (hawk nelson) song "The One thing I have left" or "take me." Although I will agree that about 60% of their lyrics aren't that great. sometimes you listen to bands for the music as well. They aren't my favorite band but you need to learn to look beyond the surface. In this world, the songs of theirs that are most popular are going to be the ones that are the most immature and such. Switchfoot is like 100 times better though.
Kutless wrote a song called Beyond the Surface. It rocks. Don't be so ready to rip somebody to shreds. Sometimes we can get alittle trigger happy. Myself included
